 The programme’s depth and breadth make it a true summit of summits in East Africa.
The Summit is set for the 13th and 14th of July 2022. In attendance will be numerous foreign diplomatic missions, Business leaders, Political leaders, over 500 young business owners and close to 1000 budding entrepreneurs.

The Summit this year will be officially opened by His Excellency Yoweri Museveni who shall be launching the district councils supported by among other regional Organizations the Private Sector Foundation Uganda.

Our main objective is to promote and support the interests of Uganda’s huge youth population both already in Entrepreneurship, Unemployed and the potential young business owners.

The Young Entrepreneurs Summit 2022 under the theme: Inspiring a Sustainable Entrepreneurship Culture- Creating a shared future is meant to empower close to 2,000,000 young people across the country. It is scheduled for 13th-14th July 2022 Victoria Hall Serena Hotel Kampala at 2:00 pm EAT.

The Summit will host close to 1500 delegates and engage some of Uganda’s best business brains in sharing key areas that will inspire a new investment climate and entrepreneurship opportunities.

 

Global reports indicate that the Youth in Uganda are the youngest population in the world, with 77% of its population being under 30 years of age. There are 7,310,386 youth from the ages of 15–24 years of age living in Uganda.
CYE is Working as a body that brings together young business owners, potential entrepreneurs across the country and key players in the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

With an interesting programme of, panel discussions, brainstorming and disruption sessions, Entrepreneurship Awards, Innovative exhibitions from across Uganda, Fireside Chats and an opportunity to engage in pitch presentations for startups, the summit will address issues such as start-up financing, Growth funds, Youth unemployment, The skills gap and dealing with a new desired sustainable Entrepreneurship culture.

The Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs (CYE) with its partner’s support after the summit shall embark on a Nationwide project which seeks to keep Ugandan youth businesses skilled and enabled to be part of the solution to a growing economy.

Speaking to Olim Magazine Africa, Mr. Edwin Musiime- Executive Director of the Chamber for young Entrepreneurs, iterated, “This event brings together youth, women and young entrepreneurs across Uganda, together with key industry players to identify, empower and recognize young entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial individuals who defy the harsh entrepreneurial challenges facing the youth to establish on their own.”

The Summit will seek to amplify the voice of the youths, women and SME businesses and the pivotal role they play in the economic strides of the country. The Summit shall engage key experts to sensitize the youth and SMEs on developing a sustainable culture of entrepreneurship, maximizing the potential of regional integration, as well as parallel sections on Investment, Social Entrepreneurship, Student Entrepreneurship, and Climate Change, among others.

The summit will offer entrepreneurs all over Uganda the chance to hear from the key players responsible for moving entrepreneurship forward and gain in-depth industry knowledge and expert market insights.’
